01
About the Ring
What is Weartopay Ring?Weartopay
Weartopay Ring is a smart ring for Visa and Mastercard contactless payments. Once your bank card is linked to the ring, you can pay by simply tapping the ring on a payment terminal — no wallet or phone needed.
Does the ring have health-tracking features (e.g. sleep or heart rate)?Weartopay
Health-tracking features are coming soon.
Does the ring need charging?Weartopay
No. The ring has no battery. It draws power from the payment terminal when you tap.
Is the ring waterproof?Weartopay
Yes. The ring is rated IP68 and can be worn in everyday situations such as hand-washing or rain. However, submerging the ring in water or exposing it to strong impact may cause damage.
What materials and widths are available?Weartopay
You can choose between ceramic and metal, and select a band width from 3.5 mm to 5 mm to suit your style.
Can I wear the ring if I have a metal allergy?Weartopay
The ring is made of materials tested against EU low-allergen standards. However, we cannot guarantee that no allergic reaction will occur. If you notice itching, redness or any other irritation, stop wearing the ring and consult a doctor.
What sizes are available?Weartopay
Sizes range from US 5 to US 15 (whole sizes only).
How do I find my ring size?Weartopay
Use a ring sizer to check the fit on the finger you plan to wear the ring on. As fingers tend to be slightly larger later in the day, we recommend measuring in the afternoon or evening.
Can I use the ring as a transit card or e-wallet?Weartopay
No. The ring works only with Visa and Mastercard contactless payments, so it cannot be used as a stored-value transit card or e-wallet. You may, however, be able to use it on public transport that accepts contactless bank card payments.
02
Payments
Which cards can I link to the ring?Bank
Visa and Mastercard cards issued by participating banks. Eligible card types (debit, credit or prepaid) are determined by your bank.
Can I link more than one card to a ring?Weartopay
Each ring can hold one card. You can remove the linked card and link a different one in the app at any time.
Where can I use the ring?Weartopay
Anywhere that accepts Visa or Mastercard contactless payments. Look for the contactless symbol at the checkout and let the cashier know you would like to pay by tapping.
Can I use the ring overseas?Bank
Yes, at merchants that accept Visa or Mastercard contactless payments. Whether overseas use is permitted, and any applicable fees, depend on your bank's policy.
Do I need my phone to make a payment?Weartopay
No. Once setup is complete, you can pay with the ring alone. You only need your phone to link, suspend, remove or renew your card. However, when you are not using the ring, you may still be able to pay with your phone through Apple Pay or Google Pay, using the card registered with them.
Is there a limit on how much I can pay?Bank
The ring does not support PIN entry, so it can be used for payments up to the contactless limit that does not require a PIN or signature. This limit varies by country and merchant. Your bank's spending limits also apply.
Are there any fees for paying with the ring?Bank
Weartopay does not charge any fees for payments made with the ring. Card fees and terms are set by your bank.
What should I do if a payment doesn't go through?Bank & Weartopay
Please check the following: • Your account has sufficient balance or available credit • The terminal accepts contactless payments • Your card is not suspended in the app • The ring is held close to the terminal's reader (with some terminals, a quick tap works better) If the problem continues, contact your bank about payment issues, or Weartopay Customer Support about the ring or app.
Do I need to re-link my card when my bank issues a new one?Bank
If your card is renewed because it has expired, you usually do not need to re-link it. If your card number changes (for example, a replacement after loss), please link the new card in the app.
Does the payment function expire?Weartopay
Yes. The payment function remains valid for a period set by the card network and your bank (typically three years from when the card was linked). Before it expires, renew it in the app by tapping the ring on your phone. If it is not renewed, the payment method will be removed automatically for security.
03
App & Setup
What do I need to get started?Weartopay
• A Weartopay Ring • An NFC-enabled smartphone (iOS 15 or later / Android 10 or later) • An eligible card from your bank
How do I set up the ring?Weartopay
1. Download the Weartopay app from the App Store or Google Play. 2. Agree to the terms of use and register your email address. 3. Tap the ring on your phone to register it in the app. 4. Enter your card number and security code. 5. If your bank requests verification (e.g. a one-time password sent by SMS), follow the instructions. 6. Follow the on-screen instructions to tap the ring again and complete the setup.
Card linking keeps failing. What should I do?Weartopay
The most common cause is a lost connection between the ring and the phone during setup. Please try the following: • On an iPhone, hold the ring against the top of the back of the phone (on Android, the NFC position varies by model). • Keep the ring still until the process is complete (it may take a little while). • Remove your phone case. If linking still fails, please check with your bank that your card is eligible.
Can I manage multiple rings in one app?Weartopay
Yes. You can register more than one ring in a single app.
What if I change my phone?Weartopay
Install the app on your new phone and register the same ring again. If a card is still linked to the ring, it will appear in the app.
How do I change my registered email address?Weartopay
Please contact Weartopay Customer Support.
Where can I find my Ring ID?Weartopay
Your Ring ID is shown in the app's settings. Please have it ready when you contact us.
04
Lost Ring & Security
What should I do if I lose my ring?Bank & Weartopay
Please act immediately: 1. Suspend or remove the card in the app. 2. Contact your bank to block the card. Once the card is blocked, the ring can no longer be used for payments.
What is the difference between “suspend” and “remove”?Weartopay
Suspending temporarily stops payments; you can resume them from the app. Removing deletes the card from the ring; to use the ring again, you will need to link your card again.
Am I protected against unauthorised transactions?Bank
Unauthorised transactions are handled in the same way as for your physical card, under your bank's cardholder terms and conditions. Please contact your bank for details.
Can I get a replacement if I lose my ring?Weartopay
Yes. Please contact Weartopay Customer Support to request a replacement ring. Loss is not covered by the warranty, so a replacement fee may apply.
Is my card number stored on the ring?Weartopay
No. The ring stores only a unique substitute number (a token) issued in place of your card number. The app does not store your card number either.
05

Warranty & Support
Is the ring covered by a warranty?Weartopay

Can I exchange my ring for a different size?Weartopay
If the size you received differs from the size you ordered, we will exchange it free of charge. Size changes for other reasons may be subject to a fee.
